This is my favorite thing i've read in a very long time. thank you for the heinie-hole comment. and for making the internet still a worthwhile place to spend a little bit of time.
I love a good chimney sweep in the morning! Heinie hole!🤣🤣🤣 I love seeing you in my inbox - thank you for making me laugh and feel light - at least briefly in these dark days.
I can’t wait for October 28th. I preordered Wreck and am SO looking forward to catching up with Rocky and her family. I’m hoping that you might, maybe, please come to California on a book tour. I live on the Central Coast, so nowhere will be too far to travel to see you. Thank you for your caring, loving, nourishing posts.😘❤️
I literally spit seltzer across the living room - Chim Chim Chiree! Laughed until I cried and mu husband came in concerned that I was choking. So thank you for that.
My nutrition prof and fiber evangelist husband also eats psyllium husks daily and even travels with them (?!?), so this description delighted me!! Thank you for the smile today. Also: portraits of loveys are so so moving. I recently did a portrait of my daughter’s one-eared Bunny (ear the victim of a vindictive sibling…). Has someone done an exhibit, a coffee table book?!
Long, LONG time reader (from when I lived in the Amherst area back in 2003-4, my two boys were also born at Cooley-Dick, in 2002 & 4 and I always say this, over and over again), I consider myself your Brazilian reader-follower in residence. Delighted that you love the Brazilian "Swiss" limeade! :-)
And YES!! Brazilians also frost and fill their layer cakes with various "brigadeiro" concoctions! But they add heavy cream. They make the fillings all kinds of flavors (with white brigadeiro -- w/o chocolate): passion fruit, lime, and my favorite, from my wedding cake -- they mix the white condensed milk with chopped dried apricots and chopped walnuts. I am saying "they" instead of we because I never frost cakes like this and don't make layer cakes. But I love eating them when I have the chance.
And I used to love Trader Joe's too, but apparently, they are pretty bad? Like, unethical :/ I read this story in Fast Company earlier this year: https://www.fastcompany.com/91240524/trader-joes-is-not-what-you-think and see that it is paywalled now, but you can probably find the main ideas by searching around.
Aww Strawberry! 🍓💕 I eat something similar every morning, too, except with yogurt. We do not care that my former coworker used to refer to it as my "gruel."
Should you live near an Aldi, this time of year they have this yummy nut and raisin-filled German muesli that, while I am not sure actually contains psyllium husk, does a comparable job at a discounted price.
I read "hippy breakfast sandwich" and kept waiting for the muesli to be sandwichified. Then realized no sandwich, just breakfast, so I guess my brain just inserted sandwich randomly when I saw a post from you. Also, I love your cats.

I tried your slaw recipe for book club. Several people asked for the recipe. Will definitely make it again. Thanks!
