I LOVED reading Sandwich!! Sat down for an hour and had finished it by the next morning. Funny, poignant, relatable and beautifully written. I truly did laugh out loud at times and wiped tears away at other times. Bravo! : )
2: the number of days until I finally start letting myself reading Sandwich on vacation! I'm so excited to start and already sad I'm going to finish it!
Cookie and I love you right back! —she can’t read yet but I am LOVING Sandwich so much that I am reading it in the house and then listening to it in the car when I leave the house. XOXO ❤️🥗🥪
I woke up early this morning to finish Sandwich. I found it to be extremely insightful. I think the reason this book is hitting home with so many people is that no one else is writing this honestly about womens' midlife experiences. Plus it's funny! I'll be giving this to all my girlfriends as we send our last kids off to college this fall.
I’m reading Sandwich now and it’s so, so perfect. I don’t, and also urgently, want to finish it. Thank you for writing it; it’s spot-on for this political, and also my personal, moment in so many ways.
2 - I bought two copies, because I joyfully/tearfully finished one, left it with my friend who began to read it aloud so she and her husband could enjoy it, and on the 3-hour-drive home decided that I missed it and your voice too much not to have a copy when I got home, so I stopped and bought another. I LOVED THIS BOOK. EVERTHING ABOUT IT.
This person — “I found the language of the author’s character to be so distasteful and crude throughout the book. All she talks about is food and vulgar words for sex and genitalia.” — is so obviously not from Massachusetts.
100 days! Brava! I am constantly tempted to do the same, but then… Life. I mean, obviously with your skills you're going to be a Martha. But I'm going to end up in the colonies and then I think I'll be nostalgic for the drinking.
Also a friend told me there were a bunch of one-star reviews for All Fours on Goodreads. For the reason of being shocked and horrified. But even if you aren't familiar with Miranda July and her oeuvre you bought a book called All Fours! Did you think it was about really stable furniture?
987: Number of holds on Sandwich in our library network (not including eBooks, eAudiobooks, and Large Print)!
WOWZA!!!

Thank you so much, Susan!
I couldn't believe it, but I loved Sandwich more than We All Want Impossible Things. I need to write reviews for Good Reads and the evil place.
Funny story: I was so excited about Sandwich I bought it twice. If that's not menopausal brain, I don't know what is.
Me too!
xo
Ha ha ha! I LOVE that!
Loved Sandwich! In fact, I didn’t want it to end. It’s perfect in every way.
Thank youuuuu!

Thank you, dear Nancy! Have a wonderful vacation. xo
My best bad review was “Has this author no standards?” Also: congratulations NYT Bestseller!!
Ha ha ha! No. No standards WHATSOEVER!

"yet" made me lol. Thank you for everything, dear Emily! xo
Thank YOU. (She's been sounding out some words when I hold up flashcards)
‘TATTOOING THAT ONTO MY PUSSY LIPS AS SOON AS I FINISH LUNCH’ will be how I try finish all conversations this week 🫰🏼
HA HA HA!
And congrats on 100 days-that is HUGE!
xo

I love this, Kim. Thank you!
Congratulations on the bestseller list numbers. I think the salad looks great. The eye appt scheduling comment though.... that made me laugh.
Fewer than 24~the number of hours it took me to finish Sandwich.
