Omg, I have been making your original granola for a million years and so have my dad/stepmom! I actually can't make it too often because I will eat nothing else until it is gone. But then it is so comforting to know that it is always at my folks' place whenever I want some if I happen to be visiting! All this to say, your granola is famous in my entire family! I love it and you! xoxo
One of the best of the year. And so truthful portraying real life. I’ve had cancer twice and was hesitant to read this. But truthfully. I will think of Casey and Sam and Yash for a very long time.
One of my favorite little joys is adding library books to my holds based on lovely recommendations like yours. Then, months later, a book magically appears and I have absolutely no memory of why I picked it!
I am probably not the only person who will read every single word of your recipes even when I know I will never actually make the recipe! I live for the asides. Also on that note, you are coming to St Louis in November, which is only 3 hours from me, so I'm plotting a road trip to see you (possibly, hopefully)!
I read tortured vegetable powder instead of textured and got very lost for a bit. Heart the Lover was great as is Wreck (I was so incredibly lucky to get my hands on an advanced copy).
I absolutely devoured Heart the Lover a couple months ago (thanks ARC!) and I cannot wait for her author event in Atlanta on Nov 6th! The ending was 😭😭😭! We also recently watched All
Of You, agree about his eyebrows! Always looking for a new easy-ish game to play, Upwords sounds fun! I’m currently learning Mah Jong + it’s not easy-ish 🫠
Also, thanks for the heads up about Cammie’s upcoming novel, just got my DRC! I’ve been riffing on Nekisia Davis’ Food 52 granola recipe for years + always give jars of it to neighbors for holiday gifts!
I'm telling you that giving in is almost a relief? I mean. I know they say that about drowning. But it's just so much more fun to have more possibilities and to not be forced to maintain the boundaries of my own uptightness. Just saying.
When I finish a book that I love, i hold it and rub the cover with my thumbs. I’ve been rubbing the cover of your new book even before Im finished, just loving it so.
I have never read Lily King! What? Wow! Well, I'm fixing that! Two books downloaded to my Kindle (Ty public library) and the rest on hold. Thanks to artist Lorene Forkner for sending out Daisy Buchanan’s CCC, who gushed over your Oldster Q&A and now ta da, your letter! What a fabulous rabbit hole!
I adored Heart the Lover and am so, so excited to read your new book! Plus, Granola! I’m a super improviser in that department- glad for some new ideas.
1. Our lil town of Golden, CO made the NYT story about the No Kings protest! Yay—we had a great turnout.
2. I cannot express how much I loved Heart the Lover. It made me 100x more grateful that the friend I fell for during my senior year is still here beside me, given how easily it could’ve gone differently.
3. I no longer make granola but when my 17 yr old son asks me nicely, I make Nigella Lawson’s breakfast bars. My 23 yr old has moved back in and is working in the mts daily doing fire mitigation (ie hard physical labor) and I feel good when I see him grab two as he heads out the door.
4. When will my preorder of WRECK arrive? I cannot wait. Are you *finally* coming to CO on book tour?

Reyna, I love this--love you. xo
Just finished heart the lover yesterday. Wow!

I am taking input on No Kings signage, if anyone has a great, blistering idea that would fit neatly on a handheld sign?
Love to see a Brett Goldstein/Roy Kent appreciation post. His eyebrows are a global treasure. As is his accent. And his face. And his body. 😂
haha. so true!
TVP in granola? Brilliant! And yes, I'm still using it in my chili. 😂

I ❤️this and you
One of my firmest-held beliefs is that 2-letter words should not exist in Scrabble. "AA"?! I call foul!

Thank you for this post ❤️Lily King’s book has been sitting in my Nook. Waiting for me…. Today is my day to devour it!
