I used to play Racko! with my grandma and this gave me all the best feels. Thank you! I remember one day in particular, when we played Racko! while eating Campbell's tomato soup, and she made a joke about Emily Post who said you should never put crackers in your soup (and we then proceeded to fill our soup bowls with crackers). Now I'm older than she was then. Gah!
I have met myself, so I know I will never do this, but I love it, _and_ I just read 'We All Want Impossible Things' on a very recent flight and (1) it was fantastic, (2) _maybe_ a poor choice for reading on a plane, because there was much out-loud laughing and visible crying...
My husband came up with the grand idea of everyone in our family MAKING a gift for each other - now we have to think of things for the kids to make!! 😅😆 I’m adding this to the list!
I love this so much. Also, my book group is reading We All Want Impossible Things next year. I listened to the audio book last spring while hiking in my favorite PNW clear cut
and probably scared fellow hikers because I was laughing while tears were streaming down my face.
I listened to it last summer while living through a DIY home reno in Louisiana, where the AC was faulty and the heat index was regularly in the 100teens and that book was one of the few things that kept this PNW native from completely losing it. Totally get the laughing while crying thing.
I am IN LOVE with this! My family played Racko all the time when I was little, and this is so much more aesthetically pleasing. I will 100% be making this, thank you for the rack template!!
I am standing in HD trying to be subtle but there was a couple with a dog spending a VERY long time looking at paint colors and then an employee walked over and started talking to them about the dog and this is possibly the hardest diy project I've ever done!! 😂
OMG yay! i found you through Burnt Toast (Virginia linked to your chickpeas salad which i also saved) and i loved your style of writing so i looked around and OMG yay! I have a 70s racko game that looks like its been smoking its whole life and its a fave. my best friend loves it also but hasn't been able to find it thrifted SO I WILL MAKE HER ONE! thanks so much!!!
My daughter named this style of organization “Rainbetical order” when she was little and it’s now standard practice in our life.
Priceless 🩷
omg. dead.
You sent this at the perfect time, as I am the advisor for a middle school GSA club and this just seems like a fun GSA club game to me- Thank you!

Time is such a weirdo, Rita! What a lovely memory.
Sadly Cambell's is all now laden with GMO's. 🥲

Even though I am lazy as F**K, you have inspired me to make this as a gift for my game-loving brother. I adore you. <3
ha ha ha! I adore you too.
Love you back! And thanks for the cool game. -- Fellow Crone/Complete Stranger ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Oh, Ellen, I'm so glad! xoxo

Obviously I love this.
That made me laugh for some reason.
I will never make this but loved reading about it
Same! So beautiful and yet I am lazy! But I love the game lol.
ha ha ha
Catherine what an awesome idea but how do you play the game? What are the rules?
That is my question, too!
I see that you guys got this sorted. Right?
I hate games but I love this game. <3
