Lovely and much appreciated, especially the "yay it's Wednesday" cake. In our house we acknowledge Thursday (the day of the mighty Thur, always announced when spirits are drooping in a stagey narrator voice) but it never occurred to me to make a cake to celebrate. On it! Book sounds great.

Honestly, Thursday is just a better day in general.

I'm going to try to find this tea at my local asian market. I'm trying not to buy anything online this year (wish me luck).

That's so smart! I am trying to cut way down on online purchasing, with the goal of something between acceptable and perfect (good, I guess).

That tea made shudder. I do not like chewing beverages (anti-boba zone over here); I do not like drinking food (ask me how many times I attempted to trick myself into liking smoothies). Intellectually it _sounds_ neat, but wow I could never.

it's a tea, that you EAT. entirely stuck on this, cannot tell from revulsion or what???? I must know if you grow your own edible buckwheat tea. What a lark. Love a lark! love it.

I've been going to the same coop for a good twenty years and I have never once left there without a bag of Barbara's cheese puffs. Like, ever.

Great post! I loved Real Americans too - the funny thing is I started it and then put it down. A friend encouraged me to try it again and then I couldn't put it down. Sometimes books find you just when you need them!
