Two things about drinking / not drinking

Just popping by to let you know that I wrote about drinking (and not drinking) for my wonderful friend Joanna over at Cup of Jo. It was a squirmfully honest piece to write—and yet still doesn’t quite capture it, in some ways. My love affair with drinking. Even last night I was having my one single allotted beer and I hadn’t had two sips before I started wishing I could have another one. I mean, really longing for a second. WHILE I STILL HAD A FULL BEER IN FRONT OF ME. Sigh.

The movies:
The Greatest Night in Pop about the making of the “We Are the World” video. If you grew up in the 1980’s prepare for overwhelming nostalgia and maybe a little bit of grief too.
Race to Alaska about people doing the kind of crazy shit I love to watch movies about.
Cha Cha Real Smooth the one non-documentary in the bunch, which is a total heartbreaker about being a young person. It is also very, very funny. We loved it so much that we instantly watched his other movie, Sh*ithouse, which we also loved and which is the most accurately comedic and sad movie about being a homesick college student that I have ever seen. Sob!
